The Uniting Church in South Australia is committed to being a peacemaking church. This was affirmed by a resolution of the Presbytery and Synod in November 2008.
Following this resolution, the Moderator has written to the Premier and Prime Minister expressing concern with the promotion of the arms trade and calling governments to direct resources to developing a fair, just and peaceful world. These letters are available here (pdf files):
